I have been writing and directing short films for more than ten years. My latest award-winning film, « If not now, when ? », received four national Grands Prix, including the Grand Prix of Courts sur la Ville and the Oser l'Avenir prize from the Grenoble INP foundation.
Those films, which have brought as many as fifty people onto a set, taught me one essential thing: one accurate image is worth a hundred spectacular ones.
A jazz pianist trained at the Grenoble conservatoire, I have developed an ear and a musical culture that I bring to every film I make.
Making wedding films is a genuine artistic challenge for me.
In cinema, everything is staged so that the story will seem real. At a wedding it is the opposite: everything is real, and my role is to tell it accurately.
Every couple, every place has its own energy. Understanding that story, catching the atmosphere, holding on to the emotion — that is what makes this work so absorbing.
Weddings push me out of my comfort zone, force me to adapt constantly, to master my craft further, and they feed my own films in return.
My latest short film, in competition at around twenty festivals and already selected by three. A 2 min 20 film on the absurdity of war and the beauty of the natural world.
